There Are New Rules for Robocalls

Businesses now need your written permission before they can call you with prerecorded telemarketing messages � also known as robocalls � regardless of whether you already have a relationship with the business. If a business wants to call you to deliver prerecorded messages, it must tell you clearly that it is a

…t allowed to promote the sale of any goods or services. Prerecorded messages from a business that is contacting you to collect a debt also are permitted, but messages offering to sell you services to reduce your debt are barred.
Other exceptions include political calls and calls from certain healthcare providers. For example, pharmacies are permitted to use prerecorded messages to provide prescription refill reminders. Prerecorded messages from banks, telephone carriers and charities also are exempt from these rules if the banks, carriers or charities make the calls themselves.

39 Women Pen Letter To Pope About Their Sex With Preists

As sex abuse scandals once again rock the Catholic Church, the 39 Italian women who are, or have been, in longtime sentimental and sexual relationships with Catholic priests have penned an open letter to Pope Benedict XVI, denouncing compulsory celibacy as a “torn up shroud.”

As sex abuse scandals once again rock the Catholic Church, the 39 Italian women who are, or have been, in longtime sentimental and sexual relationships with Catholic priests have penned an open letter to Pope Benedict XVI, denouncing compulsory celibacy as a torn up shroud. In the letter, the women describe the closeted lives they lead as companions to priests and ask the pope to consider that, perhaps, their men can only fulfill their priestly duties with their lives fulfilled by marriage.

Syracuse police have arrested a woman accused of engaging in an ongoing sexual relationship with three teenage boys. Police said their investigation began Nov. 19 when detectives began looking into rumors that a woman had been sending nude pictures of herself to a teenage boy.

…The woman was booked into the Davis County Jail last week on investigation of unlawful sex with a minor, unlawful sexual conduct and dealing materials harmful to a minor. She posted bail and was released. The Davis County Attorney’s Office is screening any possible charges, police said….

Germany’s relationship with videogames has been rocky lately. But that hasn’t stopped German gamers from buying and playing games.

Market research company Media Control GfK reports that Germany has overtaken the U.K. as the largest market for videogames in Europe. The report cites strong sales in Germany during the first half of 2009 versus a 20 percent drop in U.K. game sales last year. The ongoing success of Wii Fit, which has dominated the German sales charts since the beginning of the year, is credited for Germany’s lead.
The growing popularity of videogames in Germany has caused a fair bit of controversy. The German government has mulled the idea of banning violent videogames. And the German videogame ratings board has been particularly tough on games that feature violent gunplay.
The nation has already been home to a movement towards non-violent board games. German-style board games, like The Settlers of Catan, eschew combat and conflict for non-violent settings and an angle on strategy. Videogames…

Women "lie, cheat and steal" to get an advantage in a relationship.

A new survey of women’s attitudes to truth, relationships, and behavior, said the overwhelming majority (96%) admit to lying.

…The only people NOT knowing this to be true appear to be researchers and feminists, oh, and the domestic violence lobby… and the government, and the family court system, and social workers, and probation officers, and policeman and the press and school teachers and……………..
